The SynthoCAM H2O 24mm is engineered for the inspection of live potable water mains between 2″ and 6″ in diameter. Designed to work with compatible insertion devices, the system can be deployed without interrupting customer supply, supporting efficient and non-disruptive network investigations.
The system is pressure rated up to 10 bar, making it suitable for use across water distribution mains. Its 24mm camera head is optimised for insertion into live pipes ranging from 3″ to 6″ via pressure-balanced insertion methods, such as bore hydrants or 80mm valves with adaptor flanges. It can also be used in pipes as small as 2″ using end-on insertion techniques.
A 50 metre push rod allows operators to survey up to 100 metres from a single excavation, improving efficiency and reducing the need for multiple access points. The 6mm push rod diameter provides a balance of flexibility and control, allowing the system to navigate tight bends.
In addition to visual inspection, the SynthoCAM H2O 24mm incorporates integrated leak detection technology, enabling engineers to gather more comprehensive data during a single deployment. This supports better decision-making prior to excavation and repair.
Both the cobra push rod and camera head are traceable, with built-in line tracing capability when used with a signal generator. A sonde integrated into the camera head allows accurate surface location of the camera during operation.
Overall, the SynthoCAM H2O 24mm provides a practical solution for live water pipe inspection and leak detection, helping utilities improve network insight while minimising disruption.
