Stargland

The Stargland system is a versatile, safe and efficient live access system for the insertion of tracing wires to be inserted into polyethylene pipes and PVC potable water pipes. Tracing wires are a valuable tool in the arsenal of any water focused team, and this insertion system allows them to be used with no interruption to service for the consumer. A tracing wire and sonde can be inserted through the top of the system, acting as an air lock for the insertion of the line tracing equipment. Stargland is compatible with potable water and grey water (Although the same unit should not be used for both), and we also have a version of the system for live insertion of tracing wires into plastic gas pipes.

Stargland offers live insertion into emergency control valves, house entry tees, a variety of sizes of service entry, and top tees. This flexibility offers teams varied options for access to pipe networks for tracing, and offers choice for when a situation doesn't offer ideal insertion.

The system is suitable for use in low pressure to medium pressure environments.

Use of the Stargland system allows for:
• Faster and more efficient surveying of pipework
• More comprehensive data for excavation teams on underground assets
• No interruption to customer supply
• Reduced excavation costs
• Reduced operational costs
