The Esders VSS 15 Vacuum Backpack is an accessory for the Esders Hunter Tracer Gas leak detection system that enhances performance and sensitivity using a vacuum pump and specialised probes. By increasing the volume of air sampled during surveys, the VSS 15 allows the Hunter to analyse more air in less time, helping operators identify lower concentrations of tracer gas that may be difficult to detect.
The system is most useful when investigating very small leaks, leaks located deep underground, or in situations where ground conditions are particularly challenging. In these situations, increasing the volume of air sampled significantly increases the likelihood of detecting trace amounts of forming gas and accurately locating the leak.
The VSS 15 uses vacuum technology, and specialist probes including a bell probe and pinhole probe, to draw larger volumes of air through the Hunter.
The system comes in a backpack configuration as standard, with a folding trolley option available on request, and features built in dust and debris filtration and an interchangeable rechargable battery. Replacement filters for the system can be ordered from Synthotech.
