IJINUS Flood Monitoring System

The IJINUS network monitoring system is designed to detect and record wastewater overflow events across sewer networks, pumping stations and critical infrastructure assets. Using patented CapAir® capacitive technology, the system provides accurate and reliable overflow detection even in harsh operating conditions where traditional resistive or standard capacitive sensors can be affected by fouling.

CapAir® technology uses a capacitive measurement with an air reference to maintain measurement stability and improve long-term reliability. This approach significantly reduces maintenance requirements while ensuring dependable overflow detection in wastewater environments.

The monitoring system consists of two main device options: the LSC wireless overflow recorder and the CSC V3 wired capacitive overflow detector. Together, they provide flexible monitoring options for both autonomous wireless installations and integrated network control systems.

The LSC wireless overflow recorder is a fully autonomous device designed for remote monitoring locations. It records the time and number of overflow events and stores up to 50,000 measurements. The unit communicates wirelessly with associated sensors or data loggers via radio frequency, transmitting data through GSM, GPRS or 3G networks to supervisory software platforms. This wireless architecture removes the need for cables, reducing the risk of damage caused by immersion, installation conditions or rodents.

The CSC V3 capacitive overflow detector provides a wired monitoring solution designed for integration with PLC systems, pumps and data loggers. It can be connected via Modbus RS485 communication and supports multiple output options, including open drain pulse and normally open or normally closed signals. This allows the device to be used for automated process control such as starting or stopping lifting pumps when overflow conditions occur.
